Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)sls

SLS is one of our most versatile and cost-effective 3D printing technologies. Made from durable white nylon, SLS parts are typically used for concept models, fully-functional prototypes and first article production pieces. SLS parts have a slightly grainy matte finish, but retain high dimensional accuracy and detail.

ColourJet Printing (CJP)

cjpColourJet printing provides full colour 3D models quickly and affordably. This additive manufacturing technology involves core and binder. The Core material is spread in thin layers over the build platform, color binder is selectively jetted from inkjet print heads over the core layer, which causes the core to solidify. This process repeats, resulting in a full-color three-dimensional model. CJP is perfect for creating full-color concept models, architectural models and demonstration models.

SLA is all about precision and accuracy, so it is often used where form, fit and assembly are critical. The tolerances on an SLA part are typically less than .05mm, and it offers the smoothest surface finish of any additive manufacturing process. It is particularly useful for creating highly precise casting patterns (e.g., for injection molding, casting and vacuum casting) as well as functional prototypes, presentation models, and for performing form and fit testing. SLA technology is extremely versatile and it can be used in any number of areas that require precision above all else.

Direct Metal Printing (DMP)

DMP allows you to 3D print fully functional metal parts in aluminum or stainless steel. Our DMP technology builds parts that are just as dense and strong as cast metal parts, without the high tooling costs or long lead times, making it well-suited for fully-functional prototypes and end-use parts. DMP parts have a grey matte finish.

Multijet Printing (MJP)

MultiJet printing is our fastest and most precise 3D printing option. The technology is well-suited for creating production-like prototypes in a wide variety of materials, including rubber-like and translucent components. It can also print in multiple materials, which is often used for simulating overmolds. MultiJet Printed parts have a smooth finish.


finishesCleaning via vibration, hand brushing and/or blasting. The surface appearance is a matte finish that finishes is slightly grainy to the touch. Parts can be tumbled in polishing media for several hours to smooth outer surfaces. The resulting finish is smooth to the touch with a satin-like matte appearance. The printed parts can be further reinforced with a common technique to seal them with ultra-fluid cyanoacrylate. Colors can be applied to 3D printed parts with a standard finish using paints or dyes. Parts can be painted, but for best results they will require sanding, priming or even Vibro-Finishing before applying paint. Parts can be plated with ~0.1mm / 0.004″ nickel. Plating increases part strength, stiffness, and environmental resistance. We can accommodate a range of custom finishing requests such as tapping, insert installation, and hardware installation.
